Natalie flies home on Monday, the 8th, and I head home wednesday. I am ready to get home. It has been a good trip.

Kilauea Lighthouse

A natural Jacuzzi

With the weather lousy, I turn into a crab

Sunset at Kekaha

We had to search the island for sun and less wind. The weather hasn't been good since Natalie got here.

Wailua Falls. Even without alot of water, this is a beautiful falls.

The neighbor's back yard is beautiful with great views of open land and mountains. The landscaping here would be so much fun; just like gardening would be. The drawback to these rural areas is the noise of the stupid roosters and barking dogs. Hundreds of wild roosters crow frantically, and dogs bark alot. I'm for rounding them all up and having a whole island feast of chicken gumbo. And the dogs; I won't say. (-:
Pictures don't do this justice. O'loau is a well kept secret with the locals. I found this one and Larsen's beach one day as I was determined not to give up until I found them. Roads are unmarked on purpose; because they want to keep it this way. This was an inspiring day.

One of my favorite spots as you can tell is Lydgate Park. This is a walking bridge that they added super creativity to and built it like a maze with ramps and steps and fun mosiacs.

They have done some very fun and creative things at Lydgate park. I will post different pictures as I go. I was real impressed with their artistic touches.
The plant they make their wonderful Poi from that tastes like paste.
I haven't posted anything lately. Too busy out exploring and soaking in the sun to spend time on the computer. Not to mention getting burned out looking for work. Economy in Kauai is tough too.

Aloha from Kauai. I've been here over 3 weeks now. Been seeing quite a bit and learning new things about island life everyday. Meeting people and having interesting conversations.
I will be buying a 1988 Isuzu Trooper that is set up for some camping. Buying it from a couple from Bozeman. I'm going to miss power windows, automatic transmission, and AC.
I have put in a few job applications. Took the last few days off from that to get back to my original intent of adventuring for awhile before worrying about that. Economy is slow here too and jobs are few and far between. I applied at 3 catamaran tour companies as part of the boat crew, which would be fun. Since it is winter and the seas are rough, they are slow right now. Not to mention tourism is down.
Something will happen with the work scene in due time. If not, I'll just have to camp at the beach parks in my hot ride. Be a beach bum. (-:
Doing some soul searching and trying to find out what is next for me to do with my life. I have alot more questions than answers at this time. I will just keep asking and discovering who is RM.
Hope you are all doing well.
Cheers, Rich

First Morning in Kauai

It is exciting to wake up after a good night's sleep on the shores of Kauai. In my room of course. It is overwhelming in ways and I will need to take it in baby steps and not expect too much too quick.
I feel like Pilgrim in the story of Little Pilgrim"s Progress by CS Lewis. Aloha and I will keep up with this as I go. Just found a spot where my computer works.
